So how would you rate your team due to scrimmage

I've talked to a few people that are from over in the Gate City area, and everyone of them has said about the same as what Jason is saying. Sounds like there could be some change coming in the LPD standings in football this upcoming year!

Hey I talked to some people who swear Elvis lives in Clintwood too. Doesn't make it a fact either.

Gate City didn't lose that much and we know, which is funny Gate City folks themselves said it before as well, they don't rebuild, they reload. It's just now that they try the 'woe is us routine' trying to do the same old, everybody is against us, predicting us to be down, routine either. What better way to motivate them then saying hey some of our own are saying you all could be the worst team in a long time, do you want to have that, you have to prove it to not just the others in the area but our own people. Of course the entire time everybody is laughing and winking at each other thinking they're pulling the wool over everybodys eyes.

Too much returning talent from a team that was on the cusp last year.

GC has had a good run and probably have came back to the pack a bit however that means that instrd of beating teams by 40 points they will have eak out 20 point victorys.

GC will have the Size and speed to give anyone trouble this year the only glaring question mark is at QB and in Colbros concertive offince that is not a huge problem.

I am sure that most in GC would be suprised if they were to finish any worse than 8-2 this year (Not saying that more teams don't have a shot to knock them off but the same goes the other way as well GC could upset Richlands just as easlily)

Thank you! Somebody that has their head on straight. That was only the first scrimmage, and they have some stuff that they've been working on. Remember, you cant judge a book by its cover. This is a young Gate City football team and they'll get better as the year goes on.

You can't judge a team by a scrimmage...period. If that were the case, the way Christiansburg put it on us and PV last year they could've won the ACC. It doesn't matter how you look in August, I prefer to see what we look like come November. I saw a 6-4 team in '94 come 11 yards from beating an undefeated record breaking team. Anything can happen. I look forward to watching them.

I don't recall GC ever looking good in a preseason scrimmage and i haven't seen any GC posters doing the "woe is me" thing on here. But hey, gotta have something to post about.
